And so my repertoire for A levels comprises:
Mozart: Violin Sonata e minor first movement (6")
Mendelssohn: Rondo Capriccioso (7'')
Villa-Lobos: Poema Singelo (7")
Ginastera: Sonata No. 1 First movement (5")
Okay this is actually kinda tight. 25 minutes in total, any longer and I'll be penalized. Not to mention there'll be quite a lot of practising. I'm hoping to get the Poema Singelo down quickly though, so I can just play through it brainlessly (but not heartlessly!). And it does help that the other solo piano pieces I've performed before, so picking them up again should be easier. I HOPE THIS WORKS.
After the A levels I'm definitely going to have to get a piano teacher again - I'll ask her to help me work on my technique! I'm excited.
